Redwood County, MN (July 15th 2010) - "Legacy of the Farm Woman's Apron," is Ether Duncan's theme as the keynote speaker this year at the, "Second Annual Farmfest Women's Breakfast" held on Thursday, August 5th at 9:00am. The breakfast will be held at a new location, the Tauer Pavilion located on the Gilfillan Estate, adjacent to the Farmfest show grounds.

As creator and designer of the Farm Woman's Apron Project, Esther has spent countless hours researching and studying the history of the farm woman's apron. "If aprons in my collections could talk, I'll be they'd tell some interesting stories. After hours of listening to farm women and farmers everywhere tell about their mother's and grandmother's aprons, I decided to do the talking for the farm woman's apron," states Esther. As the keynote speaker at this year's Women's Breakfast, Esther will tell the apron's historical past, show a few aprons from her personal collection and illustrate how she has replicated traditional aprons from yesteryear's styles.

Breakfast attendees are encouraged to bring in their own aprons to both share their stories and discover the historical past of their own personal aprons.

Sponsored by the Minnesota Pork Board, the Minnesota Farmers Union and the Minnesota Farm Service Agency, the breakfast is open to all women and is a great opportunity to network, socialize and enjoy the company of fellow women in agriculture. The breakfast will also feature some complimentary give-a-ways and includes a FREE raffle with chances to win great prizes!

Doors open at 8:30am with the keynote speaker and breakfast beginning at 9am. Tickets are on sale through the Farmfest corporate offices on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are $15 and include a complimentary ticket to Farmfest (a $10 value).
