Lake Sarah Camp
Lake Sarah Farmers Union Park and Campground, Erskine, Minnesota
Lake Sarah Farmers Union Park and Campground is more than just another park in the woods, it's a place with a long history of service to northwestern Minnesota.
Established and built by members of the Polk County Farmers Union decades ago, the facility was donated by that group to the Minnesota Farmers Union. Today Farmers Union makes the camp available to the public for use by campers, civics groups, or others who would like to hold a summer gathering, such as a family reunion.
The park and campground are located on the western shore of Lake Sarah, just a few miles south of Erskine. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, camp features 24 campsites with electric hookups. There is also a separate rustic cabin with kitchenette and two bedrooms, and a swimming beach nearby.
The auditorium building in the center of the park features a large kitchen and meeting room that is perfect for programs or dinners. On opposite sides of the meeting room are separate spacious dorms that sleep 35.
Just a few steps away are two picnic shelter buildings, right next to a parking area. This makes it very easy for anyone with reduced mobility to easily reach our facilities.
For two weeks every summer, Minnesota Farmers Union also sponsors a week-long youth camp at Lake Sarah. This is a perfect opportunity for young people age 8 to 14 to enjoy time with friends, learn lessons in agriculture, cooperation, and leadership.
