DESCRIPTION:If you’re a livestock farmer who wants to learn the basic vet skills needed to provide sustainable care for your livestock\, join The Wifery Livestock Skills Consortium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at Burning Daylight Draft Farm\, 37272 20th Ave.\, Dennison. \nYou will receive both textbook and hands-on training\, as well the equipment needed to perform these skills: \n\nBasic anatomy and health stats\nTaking vitals\nGiving shots (IM\, SQ\, IV)\nAdministering boluses\, tubing\nDressing wounds\, lancing abscesses\nSuturing & stapling wounds\nSetting a leg\nMultiple solutions: certified organic to pharmaceuticals\n\nCost is $50 per attendee. Enrollment is limited to 20 people. You will receive training and a vet kit with $100+ worth of the needed equipment and supplies to perform the skills. \nPre-registration is required.
