Climate & Agriculture: What Do Farmers Think?

In recent years, there has been a significant shift as businesses, policymakers, and the public increasingly turn to agriculture for climate solutions. This shift has been accompanied by historic investments from state, federal, and private sectors in climate-smart agriculture, soil health initiatives, and renewable energy. The adoption of these new policies and technologies has quickened, making it essential that family farmers be at the table for conversations about resource allocation, land use, power generation, grid reliability, and programs aimed at harnessing the potential of working lands. Farmers have a stake in climate policy and the development in new voluntary, incentives-based markets because these initiatives have the potential to impact their farms, marketing opportunities and communities.
