Sabrina Portner grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Brown County. She followed her passion for dairy farming to Iowa State University where she got a degree in dairy science.
After a time of volunteering, she returned to school for her master’s degree in animal science at the University of Minnesota.
Sabrina’s interests lie in dairy farming, soil health and cultivating robust rural communities. Drawing from her experience as the meat processing fellow at MFU, Sabrina hopes to bring farmers’ needs to community leaders and support family farmers with organizing and education.
In Sabrina’s role as an outreach organizer, she will assist county leadership in growing active participation in MFU and aid in event coordination.
