Sami Maldonado was born and continues to reside in Minneapolis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sustainable agriculture & food systems from the University of Minnesota. In the past, she has worked with the Mill City Farmers Market and an urban agriculture non-profit. Sami joined MFU in June of 2022 as the Operations Coordinator. Her main goal is to ensure the smooth functioning of MFU events and projects. Outside of MFU, Sami is part of a mentorship program hosted by the Mississippi River Network and Green Lands Blue Waters focused on equity and sustainability in Midwestern agriculture. Sami enjoys traveling and spending time with her cat, Ramrod.
