I live in St. Paul with my husband, Dave, our teenager and our pets.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, am a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and am a licensed CPA (inactive). I moved to Minnesota in 2004 and have volunteered and worked in Finance Leadership roles for various non-profits and in the technology sector, including for a small tech company owned by Land O’Lakes and a small Minnesota-based company that provides wastewater treatment solutions to small municipalities throughout the U.S. I’ve also dabbled in freelance food and humor writing (seldom both at once) and contributed two chapters to a book on sandwiches published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press.

In my free time and when I’m not in the stands at a youth baseball or hockey game, I enjoy visiting farmers’ markets, exploring indie restaurants and reading –and sometimes even cooking from– cookbooks.
