COACT 42nd Farm Picnic: “Farmers mean business on Main Street!”
The picnic is 1 p.m. Aug. 20 at Pierz Park, 603 Park Ave, Pierz.
Thom Petersen, Minnesota’s Agriculture Commissioner, will report on the drought, Farm Bill and Farmfest. Minnesota Farmers Union will be represented by Linda Larson.
Rose Roach, Chairperson of Health Care for All MN, will address the new health care laws order to investigate the HMO policies’ role in the state’s high health care spending.
Enjoy the traditional dinner of MFU-provided ham, sweet corn and St. Francis Sisters’ potato salad, fresh-baked bread and garden-fresh vegetables.
