Lakes Area Sustainability Fest

The Lakes Area Sustainability Fest is a community centered event focused on sustainability in the Central Minnesota region. The event is organized by Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships Coordinators through the University of Minnesota Extension.

The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for the Lakes Area community to engage with local organizations and businesses as well as foster the growth of sustainable mentalities and actions that can be adapted through this event.

There will be information and family activities centered around local agriculture and food systems, clean energy, natural resources and resilient communities.

There will also be local food vendors, farmers/growers and small businesses wanting to amplify their goods or services.

The event is 1 to 7 p.m. June 26 at the Northland Arboretum in Baxter.
