Ariel Kagan is the Director of the Minnesota Farmers Union Foundation. The Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, helps advance the educational mission of Minnesota Farmers Union. Previously, Ariel was the Director of the Climate and Working Lands program. Her background is in agricultural economics and policy and she has worked across sectors to support farmers, climate resilience, and policy development.
She holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College and a graduate degree in agricultural economics from University of British Columbia. Ariel lives in the St. Croix River valley with her husband and son. Outside of work you’ll find Ariel reading a mystery novel, spending time with her goats, or visiting area libraries with her toddler.
