Lisa is a native to the Twin Cities, and recent graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a degree in sustainable agriculture and food systems and minor in global studies. Most recently, Lisa was a government relations intern with MFU. In February 2023, Lisa joined the team full-time as Local Foods and Climate Coordinator. In this new position, she will build upon and help facilitate the Minnesota Cooks Program, including MN Foodshed. Lisa will also assist in planning Climate and Working Lands events that convene MFU members around farmer-led climate solutions, co-develop policy ideas, and connect members with opportunities to make their voices heard. Lisa is thrilled to stay on and begin her career with Minnesota Farmers Union. She looks forward to continue growing alongside this meaningful organization and advancing the priorities of MFU members. Lisa originally came to MFU through working at Farmers Kitchen + Bar, and continues to enjoy connecting consumers to the mission of MFU and delicious local foods through the restaurant. Lisa lives in South Minneapolis and enjoys traveling, trying out new recipes, and going for walks around the city lakes.
