Mike Seifert joined the MFU team in November 2025 as a Regional Membership Coordinator. He’s a fourth-generation family farmer who runs a small, diversified row crop operation just south of Jordan along with his parents. In 2017 he began transitioning his farm to a regenerative agriculture model, adopting no-till and cover crop practices, and adding small grains and hay crops to his rotation. He has developed a passion for soil health and soil biology and has recently been experimenting with liquid compost extract and other biological components on his crop acres.

He has served on the Soil Health Steering Committee with the Land Stewardship Project, is a Farmer Mentor with the Minnesota Soil Health Coalition and is the Scott County Farmers Union president.  Outside of work, Seifert can usually be found spending quality time with his wife and children.
