More than 500 women gathered in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the International Year of Women Farmers. MFU Vice President Anne Schwagerl participated in the Advocate, Cultivate and Empower Summit. She went to the storytelling workshops, heard from women who are leading in agriculture, and listened to a woman from Penn State who performed a song about women in ag. It was the first time the song was performed.

Schwagerl also talked about year round E15 and strengthening the competition title in the farm bill with Minnesota congresspeople.
