Wadena County Convention

The Wadena County Farmers Union Convention is 7:15 p.m. July 31 at the Sebeka Senior Citizens Center, 104 E Minnesota Ave, Sebeka.
A meal of pulled pork sandwiches, cowboy beans, cole slaw and beverage will be served.
The program includes Ivan Reinke, Wadena County District Conservationist, who will provide an overview of NRCS programs and several candidates for office.
Brian Hobson and Rep. Krista Knudsen from District 5A have been invited to speak as have Greg Hendrickson and Rep. Mike Wiener from District 5B.
As a grassroots policy organization, annual county conventions (aka annual business meetings) are the building blocks of MFU policy. It is the participation of members, through attending and bringing forth resolutions, that gives Farmers Union a strong voice in St. Paul and Washington, D.C.
The meeting will include election of officers, election of delegates to the state convention and a call for resolutions. There may also be guest speakers.
