Claudine Arndt honored for Dedicated Service
ST. PAUL – Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) honored Claudine Arndt with a Dedicated Service to Farmers Union award during a Nov. 22 awards program.
Arndt is the former Minnesota Cooks and Membership Director of Minnesota Farmers Union. She chronicled farm-to-table stories in the Minnesota Cooks calendar for 15 years and was co-author of the book, “The Farmer and the Chef. Farm Fresh Minnesota Recipes and Stories.” Arndt left the MFU staff earlier this year, but she continues to be an active member.

MFU President Gary Wertish presented Claudine Arndt with a Dedicated Service to Farmers Union award.
“Claudine is an advocate for family farmers, both through her work in local foods with Minnesota Cooks and also through her work leading the MFU membership team,” MFU President Gary Wertish said. “Through her dedication and outreach, MFU experienced membership growth and a resurgence in membership involvement.”
“It has been an honor being part of the team at Minnesota Farmers Union and working to help build a strong local foods system and uplift farmers throughout Minnesota,” Arndt said. “I believe in the mission of MFU and the power of people working together, and I will always treasure my Farmers Union community.”
The 84th annual Minnesota Farmers Union State Convention was Nov. 21-23 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast, Minneapolis.
