
Climate Cohort Summer Event
June 16 - June 18
Minnesota Farmers Union, with support from the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council, is launching a Climate Cohort of Minnesota agricultural education teachers.
The program offers an opportunity for up to 14 teachers to participate in a learning cohort that provides participants with connections to Minnesota farmers who are implementing climate-smart agricultural practices.
There will be two online sessions and a three-day in-person event. The in-person event is June 16-18 at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Participants will be staying on campus in the Prairie Greens Residence Hall.
General agenda items include:
- Guest speakers – climate leaders, local farmers, university researchers, and more
- Workshops showcasing climate curriculum resources
- Farm tours
- Networking social
Other notes:
- Event is part of the climate cohort programming, offered at no cost to teachers
- Teachers must have applied and been accepted to attend.
