Five counties partner for convention

Roseau, Kittson, Red Lake, Pennington and Marshall County Farmers Unions will hold their convention at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at Red Lake Falls American Legion, 121 Main Ave S, Red Lake Falls.

As a grassroots policy organization, annual county conventions (aka annual business meetings) are the building blocks of MFU policy. It is the participation of members, through attending and bringing forth resolutions, that gives Farmers Union a strong voice in St. Paul and Washington, D.C.

The meeting will include election of officers, election of delegates to the state convention and a call for resolutions.

Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen will speak.
