Dave comes to MFU after serving 30 years as a teacher, coach and administrator at the K-12 and college levels. He lives in Jenkins with his wife, Esther, on her family farm. They raise alpacas. Esther is a fiber artist and owns Serenity Now Yarn & Alpaca Shop in Pine River. In their free time they enjoy camping, traveling and visiting their granddaughter in Indiana.
Dave is a Special Projects Coordinator, focusing on MFU’s meat processing work and other efforts to expand markets for family farmers. He was a key figure in developing the Meat Cutting & Butchery Program at Central Lakes College.
