ST. PAUL – Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) members from across the state will gather Nov. 17-19 for the 82^nd annual Minnesota Farmers Union State Convention. The convention will be held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast, 1330 Industrial Blvd. N.E., Minneapolis.

The event begins Friday afternoon with three panel discussions. The discussions focus on access to health care, climate-smart markets and thinking like a banker to get your projects up and running. On Saturday and Sunday, members debate the organization’s policy. The policy guides the organization’s advocacy work for the coming year.

“I look forward to welcoming members to our 2024 convention,” said MFU President Gary Wertish. “It’s been a good year for the Minnesota Farmers Union, with passage of bills to move toward a MinnesotaCare public option buy-in for farmers and small business owners and establishment of a grain indemnity fund. I expect a lively debate and discussion of work ahead on issues like the Farm Bill and Right to Repair for farm equipment when MFU members gather this weekend.”

There is no charge to attend the convention, but meals are ticketed events. A tentative convention agenda can be found on the Minnesota Farmers Union website.
