Farm Bill listening session in Sleepy Eye

Minnesota Farmers Union and Brown County Farmers Union are hosting a Farm Bill Listening Session with a representative from Sen. Tina Smith’s office on Tuesday, April 4 at 1 p.m. It will be held at the Sleepy Eye Coffee Company, 121 Main Street West, Sleepy Eye.

Julia Wickham is the Agriculture, Energy, and Environment Outreach Director for Sen. Smith. Smith is a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. They are working on the 2023 Farm Bill, a once every five-year update.

Wickham will report on current progress towards writing the Farm Bill and take comments from the public. Attendees are invited to share their thoughts and to bring any written comments they want to share with Smith’s office.

Lunch is available on your own at the Coffee Company beforehand. The Listening Session will be held in the new addition, to the left when you come in.
